Alento Tinto 2007
Whats in it? A Portuguese Blend 40%-Aragonez 40%-Trincadeira 10%- Alicante Bouchet 10%- Tourig Nacional
Where is it from? This wine is from the Portuguese region Alentejano. Alentejano is in southern portugal and until the 1970’s this region was known mostly for its production of cork.
How was it? It was different. Surprisingly acidic and almost had a salty/ rocky taste. Almost bubbly on the front of your tongue. I actually quite liked this, as it was different from anything I’ve ever had.
Quick Fact: Aragonez is the Portuguese name for the ever popular Spanish Tempranillo.
